This will serve as your periodic exam for Health 3. Submit
your paper to your class president on Tuesday, October 26,2010, on or before 12
noon.
Format for the paper:
-margins will be 1” for top, bottom and on both sides
-print it on 8.5” X 11” paper
-font will be Tahoma size 10
-line spacing will be 1.5
-Minimum of 2 pages, maximum of 3
Answer the following questions:
1. At what grade level do you think sex education should be part of the curriculum? Justify your answer.
Sex Instruction- deals only with provisions of factual information about sex
Sex Education- refers to instruction and training in all that may help or form normal and wholesome attitudes, values, and practices in relation to sex and sexuality.
2. What is your stand regarding the RH Bill? Below are the provisions that are included in the RH Bill. Which among the provisions are you in favor and which are not?
The following are the areas of concern for the RH Bill:
- Information and access to natural and modern family planning
- Maternal, infant, and child nutrition
- Promotion of breast feeding
- Prevention of abortion and management of post-abortion complication
- Adolescent and youth health
- Prevention and management of reproductive tract infection, HIV/AIDS, and sexually transmitted diseases/infections
- Elimination of violence against women;
- Counseling on sexuality and sexual and reproductive health
- Treatment of breast and reproductive tract cancers
- Male involvement and participation in reproductive health
- Prevention and treatment of infertility
- Reproductive health education for the youth
